Brett Scudder is Lead Pastor of our Church during the absence of our Senior Pastor. Brett loves the local church, and believes that it is central to the equipping of believers, through discipleship; the winning of lives for Jesus; and the ongoing health and maturity of all Christians; seeking to cause redemption in our homes, our workplaces, our networks and communities of influence.
Brett, with his wife, Bobbie, and their children, are a missionary family, resident in Kampala since August of 2012. Initially, they came to work with youth and university students; to disciple, train, and mentor future leaders. Their attention later turned towards teaching, training and encouraging Uganda’s pastors, and all leaders in the local church. This has involved leadership conferences, and Bible Schools, using a training programme entitled Supernatural Ministries Training Institute (SMTI), currently running in six locations. They are the leaders of Engrafted Word Global Outreach in Uganda.
Prior to entering full-time ministry, Brett was a mechanical engineer, and Bobbie was an administrator. They faithfully served in their local church for 17 years, including, as the Youth Leaders for over 6 years; Brett was Evangelism Leader for 13 years, and an Elder for 12 years. In addition, Brett was a member of the Praise & Worship Team, the Prison Ministry team, and served in various other supportive roles. Brett and Bobbie were ordained and commissioned by their home church, Engrafted Word Church, in Tennessee, USA, and sent to serve God in Uganda. They started worshipping with us at One Life in 2016, and have become very much part of our church family.
